Airport Security on Smartphones

Having your phone, laptop or tablet dead at the airport is already a harrowing experience. Charging stations have become some of the most popular spots inside an airport. Now? It’s mandatory. The TSA has enacted a new rule which went into effect on Sunday, that bans you from being able to bring smartphones onboard international flights coming into the United States, if they are not charged. The exact words in their press release?

“POWERLESS DEVICES WILL NOT BE PERMITTED ONBOARD.”

With the option or power (however you view it) of quite simply either telling you to leave your phone behind, and/or submit you to further security checks, screenings, and all that good stuff they subject you to in that little room inside  airports; the TSA has caused quite a controversy with this latest flight stipulation rule. All of this stem from a direct response to Terrorists working overtime on smuggling bombs in fake smartphones, most notably, “Iphone” and “Samsung” devices due to their popularity. ABC News reported that these terrorist cells (No Pun Intended) based in Yemen & Syria, have recruited European AND U.S. Nationals to help them in attacking U.S. and European Jet-Liners. These recruits will be armed with smartphone look-alikes that have explosives inside.   While there is no really much we can do to change what is going on right now, Dr.PhoneFix – Plantation,FL would like to do our small part in some way.
